Nick Hornby Knows Music

I had the pleasure to interview author Nick Hornby on the air this afternoon. We talked about his new book entitled Slam. We also talked about High Fidelity, book tours with Marah, signing people’s cheeks and music.
Nick will be at Alverno College Saturday, Oct. 20th at 7:00pm.

…and he knows books too, judging by his reading/review column in THE BELIEVER. I liked HIGH FIDELITY, so much so that I never saw the American film version. I prefer the eccentricities of the Brit characters in the book. A rare thing to find a good writer who is also capable of composing screamingly funny prose and touching scenes that aren’t slopped in sentiment…
